SAPPI AWARDS - May 2008

The world-renowned Sappi Awards were inaugurated seven years ago when Sappi Trading, the largest paper manufacturer in the world, presented its regional winners at the prestigious Sappi International Printers of the Years awards. These global print awards, considered the 'Oscars' of the industry, recognise and honour the craftsmanship of printers from around the world. In 2008, The Digital Centre was a recipient of one of these awards, a fitting accolade to the quality of work they produce.

A catalogue printed by The Digital Centre for advertising agency, Armstrong Miller McLaren, received top honours for its high quality reproduction. Stuart Collins from The Digital Centre, received the Silver Award for "The Free Spirit - Body of Work" catalogue at the international Sappi Trading Printers of the Year Awards in Sydney in late May.

Stuart said that it was a great achievement to receive this honour considering "it was in an open category which included offset printers amongst 1,300 entries from Asia, Australasia, Central America and South America". It is now recognised on the international stage as one of the best catalogues printed on Sappi's Magno Satin. Congratulations to the entire production team.
